Foreign Relations of the United States 150 Years Old

No, we’re not talking about the foreign relations that the United States government conducts with other countries.  We are talking about the publication Foreign Relations of the United States (FRUS).  It celebrated its 150th anniversary of publication on Dec. 3rd.  This publication, produced by the U.S. Department of State, provides an intriguing history of the United States and its relations abroad.  This publication could be seen as the Pre-Wiki Leaks. The Office of the Historian has put together a page marking this anniversary that includes historical background and links to presentations related to the FRUS.  You can find FRUS in our government documents collection under the call number S 1.1:
